Israel serves forced evacuation order to another high-rise tower in Gaza
After Israeli forces levelled the 12-storey Mushtaha tower to the ground in Gaza, another five-storey building has received a forced evacuation order, Al Jazeera has reported.
The area is densely populated and has become a refuge for displaced families from the eastern and northern parts of Gaza City.
The Israeli military is advancing in these areas, destroying residential buildings and public facilities. In the last few days, the Israeli army has also forced thousands of Gaza City's population, who have already been displaced multiple times, to flee south.
Israeli military spokesman Effie Defrin has said it has taken over 40 percent of Gaza City and that its military operation is expected to escalate.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has said, "the bolt is now being removed from the gates of hell" in Gaza.
“When the gate is opened, it will not be closed, and [Israeli military] activity will intensify,” he wrote on X.
