Hamas calls for UN intervention after two Israeli massacres

Hamas has called for immediate UN intervention after Israel conducted two massacres, killing 21 people.

The group said in a statement that an Israeli drone attack on people queueing for water in Mawasi, near southern Gaza's Khan Younis, killed 11 people, including seven children.

Meanwhile, another attack on the Daraj neighbourhood of eastern Gaza City killed 10 members of the al-Af family, "most of them women and children", according to Hamas.

Wafa news agency reported earlier that 11 Palestinians from the al-Af family were killed in an Israeli attack on their home.

Hamas said in a statement that the attacks "expose the criminal fascist nature of the enemy" and that they "constitute war crimes under international law", requiring "immediate intervention by the UN Security Council to impose an end to this brutal genocide and hold those responsible accountable".
