Safe and sustained access to food and medicines needed in Gaza, says WHO
The World Health Organisation (WHO) on Friday called for safe and sustained access to food and medicines in Gaza, warning that famine is tightening its grip on the enclave.
WHO distributed critical nutritional supplies to support hospitalised infants and patients at Al Nasser Hospital, the UN agency's chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said in a post on X.
"These supplies are vital for premature and hospitalised newborns who cannot be breastfed due to medical conditions, as well as for patients requiring specialised nutritional support," he wrote.
