Israeli attacks kill 84 in Gaza in 24 hours as toll climbs past 64,000

Gaza’s Health Ministry says at least 84 Palestinians were killed and 338 wounded in the past 24 hours as Israel’s bombardment continues to devastate the besieged territory.

The ministry reported that many victims remain trapped under rubble or in the streets, with ambulance and civil defence crews unable to reach them.

Among the dead were 17 people shot while trying to collect desperately needed aid, with another 174 wounded. This brings the total number of Palestinians killed while seeking aid to 2,356, and more than 17,244 injured.

Officials also added 401 previously unregistered deaths after verifying the victims’ identities. According to the ministry, Israel’s assault has now killed at least 64,231 Palestinians and wounded 161,583 since 7 October 2023.
