VIDEO: Global Sumud Flotilla arrives in Tunisia
Global Sumud Flotilla has arrived in the Tunisian port of Tunis. Thousands packed the harbour, waving Palestinian flags, chanting and singing as the boats from Barcelona carrying activists and aid sailed in.
Mandla Mandela, grandson of Nelson Mandela, was amongst the crowds as he waited to join the flotilla as part of a 10-person South African delegation.
The convoy is part of a wider push to break Israel's siege on Gaza and deliver humanitarian supplies to Palestinians. The group will now stay in Tunisia for a few days before resuming the journey to Gaza.
