Pakistan, Syria denounce Israel's 'brazen violation of Qatari sovereignty'
Pakistan on Tuesday joined Saudi Arabia and UAE in condemning Israeli strikes on Doha targeting the Hamas negotiation delegation in the Qatari capital.
In a post on X, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said: “This act of aggression by Israel is totally unjustified, a brazen violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Qatar, and constitutes a most dangerous provocation that could imperil regional peace and stability."
“Pakistan stands firmly with the State of Qatar, as well as with the people of Palestine against Israel’s aggression," he said.
The Syrian foreign ministry also said on Tuesday that the strikes on Doha reflect Israel’s disregard for international laws and norms.
“Syria expresses its strong condemnation of the Israeli aggression targeting the Qatari capital, Doha, and affirms its full solidarity with the State of Qatar, its leadership, government and people,” the ministry said.
Morocco, which has formal diplomatic ties with Israel, has also condemned the attack, expressing “full support” for Qatar.
