Death toll from Israeli attack on Yemen rises to 35

News agency AFP has reported that the death toll from the Israeli attack in Yemen has risen to 35. 

Earlier, Yemen’s health ministry had said at least 118 people had been wounded in Israeli air attacks on the capital, Sanaa, and al-Jawf province.

The ministry said that this was a "preliminary toll", warning the number could rise as rescue teams continue to search for victims.

The ministry said Israel has struck civilian and residential areas, including homes in Sanaa’s al-Tahrir neighbourhood, a medical facility, and a government compound in al-Jawf’s capital, al-Hazm. 

Civil defence teams are working to extinguish fires caused by the bombardment and pull survivors from the rubble, it added.
