US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to visit Israel this weekend

The US Department of State announced that Secretary of State Marco Rubio will be visiting Israel this weekend, before joining the presidential delegation on a trip to the United Kingdom.

The State Department press statement asserted the US and Israel’s “shared goals” of “ensuring Hamas never rules over Gaza again and bringing all the hostages home.”

It also reaffirmed the US’ “commitment to fight anti-Israel actions including unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state that rewards Hamas terrorism, and lawfare at the ICC and ICJ.”

October will mark the second year of Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant are currently wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for crimes against humanity.
