Fiji's prime minister inaugurates embassy in Jerusalem

The prime minister of Fiji has inaugurated his country's new embassy in Jerusalem, following the US in being one of the few nations to move their diplomats to the city.

Sitiveni Rabuka was pictured shaking hands with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as the new embassy was opened, in a move widely criticised by rights groups, including in Fiji.

"At the end of the meeting, we will continue together to the ceremony for the opening of the Fiji Embassy in Jerusalem, the eternal capital of Israel," Netanyahu wrote on X.
