Here are the day's key developments:
- Israel has now killed more than 65,000 Palestinians in Gaza. At least 90 of them were killed on Wednesday in the north of the enclave.
- Mohammed Ala'a al-Sawalhi, a cameraman for Palestinian channel al-Quds al-Youm, was killed Wednesday in an Israeli air strike in Gaza City, local media has confirmed.
- Doctors Without Borders said on Wednesday it was appalled by the death of one of its nurses, who died on Tuesday from shrapnel wounds caused by an Israeli air strike near his tent five days earlier.
- Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar on Wednesday warned the EU against taking action against Israel, saying "moves against Israel will harm Europe's own interests".
- The Times of London has reported that Britain will formally recognise a Palestinian state this weekend, after US President Donald Trump, who opposes the decision, leaves the country at the end of his state visit.
- Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa responded on Wednesday to the new security proposal submitted by Israel one day earlier, saying he is considering the parameters but that "normalisation is not currently on the table".
