Thousands in Vienna rally against Israel’s war on Gaza
Thousands of people filled the streets of Vienna to denounce Israel’s assault on Gaza, in one of the largest protests held in the Austrian capital since the war began.
The march, organised by more than 40 local organisations, wound its way to the Austrian parliament where demonstrators waved Palestinian flags and chanted: “Stop the genocide”, “Free Palestine”, and “Boycott Israel”.
Many carried banners listing the names of children killed under Israel’s bombardment of Gaza, turning the protest into both a rally and a memorial.
