Israel's Ben Gvir: 'We need to annex as much territory in Gaza as possible'

Far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir stressed that he wants Hamas to "pay the price of defeat".

In an interview with Israeli radio channel 103FM, Ben Gvir said Israel needs to annex as much of the Gaza Strip as possible, adding that he wants to see "police neighbourhoods" in the besieged enclave.

"The world doesn't understand that we are folding and surrendering; if it is ours, we need to say with certainty that it is ours. This is our home, and we need to be there," he added.
