Here are the latest updates from Israel’s genocide in Gaza and developments in the occupied West Bank:

In a historic move, the UK's Keir Starmer is set to formally recognise Palestinian statehood on Sunday afternoon.

Displacement and deadly bombardment continue in the besieged enclave, particularly Gaza City, where more than 90 civilians were killed on Saturday.

The Israeli army said two projectiles were fired from the Gaza Strip, adding that one was intercepted while the other fell in an open area

Israeli authorities on Sunday morning closed the King Hussein Bridge, the only crossing between the occupied West Bank and Jordan, abruptly halting all travel from both sides.

The Israeli army also announced its decision to deploy two additional battalions to the West Bank, citing "security requirements" during Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.
