Nobel Peace Prize for Trump possible if he stops Gaza war, says Macron
French President Emmanuel Macron said on Tuesday that the Nobel Peace Prize sought by Donald Trump is only possible if he stops the conflict in Palestine, AFP reported.
Speaking during an interview given to BFMTV from New York, Macron said: "I see an American president who is mobilised, who repeated it this morning at the podium [of the United Nations]. 'I want peace. I have resolved seven conflicts.' Who wants the Nobel Peace Prize. The Nobel Peace Prize is only possible if you stop this conflict."
The French president also stated that the state of Palestine, officially recognised by France on Monday, would truly be created "the day the State of Israel recognises it".
