WHO: 15,600 patients in Gaza awaiting medical evacuation

The World Health Organisation's (WHO) director-general, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, on Wednesday said that 15,600 patients in Gaza, including 3,800 children, are waiting for medical evacuation to receive lifesaving care. 

Ghebreyesus wrote on X that the agency welcomed a joint statement issued by 24 foreign ministers offering support for the treatment of critical patients from Gaza.
