Here are the latest updates from the Israeli war on Gaza, now in its 719th day, and developments in the occupied West Bank:

  • Global Sumud Flotilla said in the early hours of Thursday that vessels are sailing at slow speeds in Greek territorial waters, reporting a moderate drone activity through out the night. It added that European Union government sources pointed at escalating threats by Israel as the Flotilla sails in international waters today.
  • The Danish Prime Minister described the situation in Gaza as ‘catastrophic’.
  • Sources told Al Jazeera that Israeli forces stormed the town of Qatanna, north-west of occupied Jerusalem, and began demolishing several homes on the pretext of lacking permits.
  • The Israeli military announced on Thursday the death of a sergeant in fighting in northern Gaza. 
  • Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu headed on Thursday to the United States to address the UN General Assembly in New York and hold talks with President Donald Trump.
  • A White House official said that US special envoy Steve Witkoff presented a postwar plan for Gaza on Wednesday, which includes a new dialogue between Israel and the Palestinians aimed at coexistence, during a meeting between Trump and leaders of Arab and Muslim countries.
