Italy to send second naval frigate to support Global Sumud Flotilla

Italian Defence Minister Guido Crosetto said on Thursday that Rome will deploy a second naval frigate to support the Global Sumud Flotilla.

The move comes after Italy has announced yesterday it would send a warship to protect the flotilla, followed by a Spain which made a similar step.

The Global Sumud Flotilla has been subjected to at least 13 drone attacks on the late hours of Tuesday, with participants saying amount of damage is being assessed.

The flotilla said on the early hours of Thursday that sources from European governments have warned participants of escalating threats from Israel
