Child dies of malnutrition in Gaza

A Palestinian child has died due to malnutrition and lack of treatment, according to the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, Al Jazeera reported.

A UN-backed global hunger monitor officially declared famine in Gaza in August 2025.

"After 22 months of relentless conflict, over half a million people in the Gaza Strip are facing catastrophic conditions, characterised by starvation, destitution and death," the IPC said in a report.
