Thousands of Palestinians wait at Karama Crossing in occupied West Bank

The spokesperson for the Palestinian Border and Crossings Police Walid Ghannam stated that “thousands of citizens and travelers have been waiting since the morning for the Karama crossing to open to traffic, after it was closed by the Israeli side,”according to a Friday morning report by Wafa news agency.

This comes after Israeli authorities shut down the crossing at King Hussein Bridge on Wednesday, closing off the only entry and exit point for Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.

The crossing was scheduled to be reopened on Friday morning according to an announcement by Israeli authorities.
