Missile lunched from Yemen intercepted, Israeli army says
The Israeli military on Monday said that it intercepted a missile launched from Yemen, and that sirens were sounded across central Israel.
"Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in several areas of Israel, a missile launched from Yemen was intercepted," it said in a statement on Telegram.
On 24 September, at least 20 people were wounded after a drone crashed and exploded in the southern Israeli port city of Eilat.
The following day, officials of the Houthi movement Ansar Allah, said that eight people had been killed and 142 others wounded in an attack by Israel on Yemen's capital Sanaa.
Israeli forces deployed 20 fighter jets to attack 60 targets, targeting Houthi military leaders, command headquarters and weapons depots, Israel's Channel 14 reported.
