UAE lobbied Netanyahu to accept Trump Gaza plan: Report

The UAE lobbied Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to accept President Donald Trump’s Gaza peace proposal and to abandon plans to annex the occupied West Bank, Reuters reported on Monday. 

The UAE position on Trump's Gaza peace plan was delivered to Netanyahu by its foreign minister, Abdullah bin Zayed, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York on Friday, Reuters said. 

The UAE told Netanyahu that annexation would prevent the expansion of the Abraham Accords to countries like Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.
