Trump says Netanyahu has accepted proposal to end war in Gaza

US President Donald Trump said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has agreed to end the war in Gaza based on a White House peace plan. 

"It means the immediate end to the war itself," Trump said speaking alongside Netanyahu. 

Trump said his plan has the support of "Arab and Muslim" leaders, who he said have committed to "demiliterise Gaza" and "decommission" the military capabilities of Hamas. 

"I'm hearing that Hamas wants to get this done too," Trump said. 

Trump leaned heavily on Arab and Muslim countries, who he said, are "going to be dealing with Hamas" and reconstruct Gaza, as well as train new security forces there. 

Trump said he would lead an international oversight body" to govern Gaza which will also include former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair.
