Qatar says postwar Gaza governance has 'nothing to do with Israel'

Qatar’s Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani said on Tuesday that Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza, as referenced in US President Donald Trump's peace plan requires “clarification and discussion.”

Thani said that permanently ending the war however is “a clear clause in the plan," which is still in its "early stages and needs development".

He added that Arab countries will discuss postwar Gaza's governance with the US, but this “has nothing to do with Israel.”

"We are trying to create a path that safeguards Palestinian rights,” he added.
