Jordan condemns Netanyahu's Greater Israel comments as dangerous

Jordan’s Foreign Ministry has condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu statements on his 'Greater Israel vision' as dangerous, Al Jazeera reported on Wednesday. 

Greater Israel term refers to an area encompassing Israel, the West Bank and East Jerusalem, the Gaza Strip, the Sinai Peninsula and the Golan Heights.

The ministry spokesperson, Sufyan Qudah, said the comments were a dangerous and provocative escalation and a violation of international law and the United Nations Charter..

Qudah emphasised the need for the international community to act immediately to stop all provocative Israeli actions and statements that threaten the region’s stability and international peace and security.
