Mines being deployed against Sumud Flotilla, sailor says

Israel has begun deployig sea mines as part of an operation to block the Sumud Flotilla from approaching the besieged Gaza Strip, one of the sailors in the flotilla said. 

The commander of the Alma ship in the Sumud Flotilla reported seeing four naval mines close to the fleet, according to Arabic media reports. 

Live footage from the flotilla appears to show a row of ships on the horizon blocking the flotilla. 

Activists say they expect an attempt to attack the ships in the coming hours.
