Flotilla tracker shows 15 Gaza aid boats intercepted by Israel

The Global Sumud Flotilla says its tracker is showing which vessels are still heading towards Gaza and which have already been stopped. As of 3:48am GMT on Thursday, the tracker confirmed that 15 boats had been intercepted by Israeli forces.

In a statement, the flotilla said: “Beyond the confirmed interceptions, live streams and communications with several other vessels have been lost.”

Israeli forces intercepted the flotilla on Wednesday about 70 nautical miles off Gaza, after warning repeatedly that it was violating what they called a lawful blockade. Among those stopped was the vessel carrying climate activist Greta Thunberg.
