Here are the day's key developments:

• The UK government has promised new legislation to crack down on repeated demonstrations in a new move targeting pro-Palestine protesters.

• Seven Palestinians were wounded after Israeli forces opened fire on them in the Wadi al-Hummus area, east of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank.

• Israel has deported a further 29 activists detained by the navy last week for taking part in a flotilla that sought to deliver aid to blockaded Gaza, the foreign ministry said.

• President Donald Trump on Sunday said talks on implementing a truce for Gaza will take days, while his foreign policy chief Marco Rubio warned that Israel needs to stop bombing for a captive release to happen.

• Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israeli negotiators would depart for Egypt on Monday for talks aimed at securing the release of captives held in Gaza, after a spokesman had said they would leave Sunday.

• Doctors Without Borders said that Abed El Hameed Qaradaya, 43, died from shrapnel wounds sustained in an Israeli attack on Thursday, becoming the 15th MSF staff member killed during Israel’s two-year war on Gaza.

• Adalah, the legal and human rights organisation, says the Israel Prison Service has informed the group’s lawyers of its intention to deport about 170 flotilla activists on Monday.
