Israeli attack helicopters target Gaza City

Israeli attack helicopters on Friday targeted a site east of Gaza City in the north of the enclave, Al Jazeera Arabic reported. 

The report also mentioned that artillery shelling took place in the area, even as the ceasefire was accepted by Israel. 

Gaza’s civil defence has warned people to keep away from the border areas of Gaza City until the official announcement of the withdrawal of Israeli forces.

The Israeli government on Thursday approved the Gaza ceasefire deal, which went into effect in the enclave immediately.

Hamas will release all Israeli captives in the next 72 hours, and in exchange, will receive 250 Palestinian prisoners given life sentences, as well as more than 1,000 captives from Gaza who were captured after 7 October 2023.
