Gaza health ministry says 17,000 patients need urgent evacuation

Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza on Saturday said that 17,000 patients need to travel immediately outside the Gaza Strip, Al Jazeera Arabic reported. 

"17,000 patients need to travel immediately outside the Gaza Strip. We seek to restore the minimum level of health services in the sector, " he said. 

"We are currently working to improve the health sector in the Gaza Strip and assess the extent of the damage," he added.
