Report: Egypt, Jordan training 5,000 Palestinians to deploy in Gaza

Egypt is working on different levels on security arrangements, including training and coordinating up to 5,000 Palestinian personnel to be deployed in Gaza, alongside Jordan, Egypt's foreign minister Badr Abdelatty said, speaking on CBS's Face the Nation.

"We are confident that the first phase of the trump peace plan will be completed and, in all honesty, from the two parties," Abdelatty said, adding that Egypt is in full contact with Hamas.

Egypt is also committing to send its troops within a "specific parameter," assuming the UN Security Council clears their specific mandate, he said.
