WHO deploys emergency medical team to Gaza City's al-Ahli hospital

The World Health Organisation (WHO) director general said that it had scaled up its operations in Gaza in a post on X on Tuesday.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said WHO had deployed an emergency medical team to al-Ahli hospital in Gaza City. Gaza City has been heavily bombed for weeks, leading to a high number of casualties.

He also said eight trucks carrying medical supplies, including insulin, lab supplies, and essential medicines, had entered the strip. 

"The best medicine is peace,"  he said.
