Trump says US troops will not be involved in disarming Hamas or military activity in Gaza
US President Donald Trump told reporters during a news conference in Washington on Wednesday that he doesn't see a reason for the US military to get involved in Gaza.
"I don’t see that - no," Trump said. "I think we’re going to handle it very well.”
He also said the US military would not be needed to disarm Hamas.
The government said, however, that it will send 200 troops to Israel to monitor the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, but none will be deployed inside Gaza.
