West Bank: Israeli settlers chop down Palestinian's olive trees near Ramallah

Israeli settlers razed down several olive trees in the village of Abu Falah, northeast of Ramallah on Friday, Wafa news agency reported according to local sources.

Israeli settlers consistently target olive trees belonging to Palestinians as a way to impact tjeor livelihood and displace them. Olive trees typically take five to eight years to bear fruit, and are a staple part of Palestinian culture and cuisine.

Settler attacks have increased since October 7, and are ignored or supported by Israeli police. Ramallah is the area that has faced the most settler violence in the West Bank in July, according to Wafa news agency.
