Netanyahu's office told Smotrich US opposes West Bank annexation: Report

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office told Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich that the Trump administration is opposed to Israel declaring sovereignty on the occupied West Bank, according to a report by the Israeli Broadcasting Authority. 

The message was delivered as Israel's Knesset voted on Wednesday to approve two pieces of legislation that would annex the occupied territory.
