• Ahead of her meeting with US President Donald Trump on Monday, new Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi is preparing to recommend him for the Nobel Peace Prize and making arrangements to inform him of her intentions, NTV reported on Tuesday, citing multiple government sources.

• Israeli forces arrested a young Palestinian, Yahya al-Nadi, after raiding his home in the Askar al-Jadeed camp, east of Nablus, in the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Information Centre.
