Bodies returned by Hamas identified as those of three Israeli soldiers
Israeli Prime Minister's office on Monday said that the bodies returned by Hamas on Sunday have been identified as those of three Israeli soldiers, news agency AFP reported.
This brings the number of dead captives handed over by the Hamas movement to 20, out of a total of 28 it is due to return.
"After the completion of the identification process by the National Institute of Forensic Medicine, in cooperation with the Israeli police and the military rabbinate," the army "informed the families of the hostages killed in action (...) that their relatives have been repatriated to Israel and identified," the office said in a statement.
The deceased have been identified as American-Israeli Captain Omer Neutra, Corporal Oz Daniel, and Colonel Assaf Hamami.
