Israel claims killing Hamas fighter in Gaza strike
Israel’s military says it has killed a Hamas fighter in Gaza, alleging he was involved in holding six Israeli captives. It produce no evidence to back up its claim.
In a statement posted on X, the army claimed it had “eliminated” Zaid Zaki Abd al-Hadi Aql in what it described as a targeted strike carried out in response to Hamas’s alleged ceasefire breaches.
Israeli media outlets reported that the strike took place on October 29.
Israel’s announcement comes amid growing criticism of its continued attacks during the truce, as rights groups accuse it of using “ceasefire violations” as pretexts for renewed aggression against Palestinians.
