Lebanese president accuses Israel of committing war crimes after several airstrikes

The Lebanese president accused Israel of committing "a full-fledged crime under international humanitarian law" after it launched a series of airstrikes on several towns in southern Lebanon on Thursday.

In a statement, President Joseph Aoun said “every time Lebanon expresses its openness to peaceful negotiations… Israel intensifies its aggression.

“Nearly a year has passed since the ceasefire came into effect, and during that time, Israel has spared no effort to demonstrate its rejection of any negotiated settlement between the two countries, Your message has been received.”
