Israeli soldiers shoot and detain Palestinian in Hebron
Israeli soldiers on Monday shot and wounded a Palestinian man in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron, before then detaining him, the Wafa news agency reported.
Israeli authorities said the man approached soldiers at a checkpoint and opened fire on them.
Multiple routes leading to southern Hebron have since been shut down.
The incident comes as Israeli military raids on Palestinian homes as well as Israeli settler attacks on Palestinian farmland have been ramping up in the occupied West Bank.
