Israeli army declares West Bank village off-limits ahead of activist olive harvest
The Israeli army declared on Friday the northern West Bank village of Burin a closed military zone just hours before hundreds of Israeli activists were due to take part in the annual olive harvest there.
According to the Israeli news outlet Haaretz, Police reportedly stopped several buses carrying the activists to the village.
Lawmaker Gilad Kariv, who was present on the scene, said the officers had not presented the activists with the required order from the Israeli army's central command.
