Hamas says Israel manipulating prisoner lists, seeks to resume Gaza genocide

Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas on Thursday said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is seeking to resume genocide in Gaza, as Israeli forces killed at least 28 Palestinians on Wednesday. 

Hamas's media officer at the Martyrs and Prisoners Office, Nahed Al-Fakhoury, also said that Israel is manipulating the file of forcibly disappeared prisoners. 

Fakhoury said the delay in announcing the list of prisoners was a deliberate move to create division. 

Israel stipulated that it should hand over a list of the names of the prisoners it was holding in the early days of the agreement, but later stalled this and manipulated a number of names, Fakhoury told Al Jazeera. 

He said that Israel acknowledged the existence of prisoners in its possession, and then retracted them, without providing clear answers regarding the retraction.

He added that there are 11 detainees whose presence Israel now denies, had met with released prisoners, and one had recently been visited by a lawyer.
