Ben Gvir and Smotrich to join team on Gaza ceasefire implementation
Israeli media on Friday reported that a decision to form a ministerial team to work on implementing the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza had been made.
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation said that foreign minister Gideon Sa'ar, national security minister Itamar Ben Gvir and finance minister Bezalel Smotrich will be among the team.
On 10 November, US envoy Jared Kushner and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met in Jerusalem to discuss the second phase of the ceasefire deal in Gaza.
Spokesperson for the Israeli prime minister's office, Shosh Bedrosian, told journalists that phase two also includes the establishment of the international stabilisation force.
"Together the two discussed... the future of phase two of this plan, which includes the disarming of Hamas, demilitarising Gaza and ensuring Hamas will have no role in the future of Gaza ever again," Bedrosian said.
