Israeli settlers use toxic substance to poison sheep in West Bank
Israeli settlers on Saturday poisoned a flock of sheep in the village of al-Mughayyir in the occupied West Bank, Palestinian media reported.
The reports said that a toxic substance was thrown into the grazing area, after which dead sheep belonging to a local Palestinian shepherd were found at the site.
Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that Israeli troops were present in the area and left shortly before signs of poisoning were discovered.
The development comes amid reports of other attacks on farmers by Israeli settlers in the area.
The UN reported at least 260 settler attacks in the West Bank in October.
