Netanyahu: Israel will do ‘everything necessary’ to stop Hezbollah, Hamas
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday said that the country would do "everything necessary" to prevent Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in the Gaza Strip from resuming their activities and building up their capabilities.
"This week, the army was struck in Lebanon, and we will continue to do everything necessary to prevent Hezbollah from re-establishing its ability to threaten us," he said.
"This is what we are doing in the Gaza Strip as well. Since the ceasefire, Hamas has not stopped violating it, and we are acting accordingly," Netanyahu was quoted by Israeli media as saying.
Israel has committed nearly 500 violations since the start of the Gaza ceasefire. Ongoing Israeli violations have killed over 342 Palestinians, the majority of whom are children, women, and the elderly.
