Israeli raids intensify across Rafah and Khan Younis

Israeli forces have stepped up raids in Gaza’s south, unleashing heavy bombardment on areas crowded with displaced people.

Al Jazeera Arabic reported that Israeli warplanes struck neighbourhoods northeast of Rafah, while tanks and helicopters opened fire in the same district. Residents said the attacks forced families to flee yet again, despite Israel’s claims of “safe zones” that have repeatedly proved illusory.

Further north, Israeli artillery and air power targeted areas east and south of Khan Younis.
