Israel strikes Beit Lahia despite declared ceasefire

Israeli jets and artillery pounded the education district of Beit Lahia, hitting inside the so-called yellow line in northern Gaza, in further violation of the ceasefire, Al Jazeera Arabic reported.

The renewed bombardment landed even though the ceasefire announced for Gaza, an agreement between Hamas and Israel built around US President Donald Trump’s plan, officially took effect on 10 October.
