Israeli settlers establish new outpost near Bedouin community in West Bank
A group of Israeli settlers established a new outpost on Tuesday afternoon inside the Bedouin community of Shallal al-Auja, north of Jericho in the occupied West Bank, Wafa news agency reported.
Hasan Mlehat, general supervisor of the Al-Baidar Organisation for the Defence of Bedouin Rights, said the settlers erected initial structures on the ruins of an abandoned home in the community and built metal barracks and internal divisions at the site.
The new settler structure raised the number of outposts in and around the community to four, which the organisation described as part of ongoing expansion efforts threatening Bedouin communities in the area.
