West Bank: Red Crescent says dozens wounded, displaced in Israeli operation in Tubas
The director of the Palestinian Red Crescent in the West Bank Governorate of Tubas on Wednesday said that dozens of Palestinians have been wounded after being assaulted by Israeli soldiers, Al Jazeera reported.
The official noted the difficulty in sheltering those forcibly displaced as a result of the Israeli operation in Tubas, the report said.
The military has laid siege to the town of Tammun in the Tubas Governorate, located 13 kilometres northeast of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
The mayor of the town said that the forces have displaced many families in Tammun, turned their homes into military barracks, and sealed the town.
The Israeli army also cut off roads connecting the town with the rest of the West Bank, severed electricity lines and drinking water pipes.
