Gaza NGO says 1.5 million people displaced by Israeli agression

Director of the NGO Network in Gaza, Amjad Al-Shawa, on Wednesday said that about one and a half million citizens lost their homes as a result of the Israeli aggression.

Shawa said that the sector needs more than 300,000 tents to shelter the displaced, while only 60,000 tents have entered.

He added that Israel's preventing Unwra from bringing in aid constitutes the biggest challenge and doubles the burden on civil society organisations, which are also suffering from the destruction of their headquarters and a sharp decline in humanitarian funding.
