Gaza NGO says 90% of Palestinians in Gaza lack access to food amid shortages
Director of the Palestinian NGO Network in Gaza, Amjad Al-Shawa, on Thursday said that 90% of the population cannot find basic food because of shortages of supplies due to Israeli restrictions on essential supplies, Al Jazeera reported.
Shawa said that the humanitarian crises in the Gaza Strip have continued to worsen two months after the ceasefire came into effect, with forced displacement continuing and living conditions deteriorating.
More than half a million people have lost their homes, while thousands of Palestinians live in the remains of their destroyed homes, the report quoted Shawa as saying.
